Louis Schweitzer (businessman)

Louis Schweitzer ( born July 8, 1942 in Geneva ) is a French manager of the car company Renault.

After visiting the Parisian elite universities, Sciences Po and Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l' Administration Economique Schweitzer 1970 to 1981 worked in the political administration of an Inspector of Finance. Until 1986 he was a member of Cabinet Chief Laurent Fabius. From 1986 he worked at the state-owned enterprises and Renault took over in 1992 as CEO of Raymond Levy, the company had successfully rehabilitated before.

During his tenure was 1999, the Renault-Nissan Alliance instead. In 2005 he handed over the presidency to Carlos Ghosn.

Schweitzer is related to the famous jungle doctor Albert Schweitzer.
