Louis William Geldricus Ernest of Bentheim and Steinfurt

Ludwig Wilhelm Ernst Geldricus of Bentheim and Steinfurt (* October 1, 1756 at Burg Steinfurt, † August 20, 1817 ) was an Imperial Count, 1817 Prince of the house of Bentheim- Steinfurt.

He was the second son of Count Karl Paul Ernst von Bentheim- Steinfurt and Charlotte Sophie of Nassau-Siegen. Since his brother Karl ( * February 13, 1753; † September 5, 1772 ) but still died before both father Louis in 1780 succeeded him as Count of Steinfurt.

On July 17, 1776, he married Juliane Wilhelmine von Schleswig -Holstein - Glücksburg ( born April 30, 1754 † September 14, 1823 ), with whom he had the following eight children:
