Louisa Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire

Louise Friederike Auguste von Alten (* November 15, 1832 in Hannover, † July 15, 1911 in Cannes) was descended from the Count's line of Hanoverian noble family of old.

At 20, she married the English nobleman William Montagu, 7th Duke of Manchester, by whom she had five children. From 1858 to 1859 she was Mistress of the Robes (top maid of honor ) of Queen Victoria of Great Britain.
