Life

Louise Elisabeth of Saxe- Merseburg was the second wife of Duke Philipp of Saxe- Merseburg - Lauchstaedt. Until her age of 63, she lived in Forster residential palace. On April 28, 1736 she died and was in a crypt of the St. Nikolai church buried in Forst ( Lausitz).

In the town of Forst (Lausitz ) remembers today the " Elizabeth Street " near the no longer existing lock to the Duchess. The exact grave lay in the St. Nikolai church is not known.
