Louisville is a village on the Little Wabash River ( a right tributary of the Wabash River) and the administrative seat of Clay County in the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2000, Louisville had 1,242 inhabitants, an estimate in July 2008 revealed a number of 1,235 residents.
Geography
Louisville is located at 38 ° 46'17 " north latitude and 88 ° 30'23 " west longitude. The city covers an area of 1.8 km ², which consists exclusively of land area.
