Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions

Koi ga Shitai Chūnibyō demo! (Japanese中 二 病 で も 恋 が し たい!, dt "Despite Chūnibyō I want to fall in love! ") is a two-part written by Torako Light Novel series, which was also implemented as an anime series and movie.

The series is about a group of school children, the protagonist Rikka Takanashi has to deal humorous to serious way with the pronounced Chūnibyō ( syndrome). She builds among other things, a romantic relationship with the former also suffering from Chūnibyō classmates and real protagonists Togashi Yuta. The slang term Chūnibyō (中 二 病, dt " eighth graders disease" ) refers to a kind of youthful megalomania in which keeps a person for a superhero, and chosen, and the like who fights against evil, as it typically will occur with eighth graders.

In 2009, the animation studio Kyoto Animation founded the "Great Kyoto Animation Award" ( Kyoto Animation Taishō ) with the categories of novel, manga and scenario ( Anime ). At the award announcement on 22 April 2010, the script of Torako received for the novel Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! an honorable mention. Although there also were four other works an honorable mention, was only demo Koi ga Shitai Chūnibyō first! published the only novel in the newly founded imprint KA ENS Bunko. The first volume was released on June 1, 2011 (ISBN 978-4-9905812-0-6 ) and the second band on 28 December 2011 ( ISBN 978-4-9905812-2-0 ). A third volume followed on March 14, 2014 ( ISBN 978-4-907064-14-3 ).

The novels were illustrated by Nozomi Osaka.

Anime

Based on the novel series produced the studio Kyoto Animation, the twelve episodes comprehensive, same name anime television series Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! directed by Tatsuya Ishihara. However, this is based roughly on the novel series and contains extra characters like Kumin Tsuyuri and Sanae Dekomori.

It was the first time from October 3 to December 20, 2012 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) aired on Tokyo MX. Almost simultaneously with only a few minutes offset, also was a broadcast on Sun TV, as well as up to a week offset on KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, Animax (Japan) and BS11. Previously, from September 27 to November 1, 2012 on YouTube web - Anime ( ONA ) titled demo Koi ga Shitai Chūnibyō! Shown Lite, in its six short episodes to six minutes per side certain aspects of the plot, usually embarrassing humorous way, were taken up.

The series were released between December 19, 2012 and June 19, 2013 on seven DVDs and Blu-rays. The last case contained a not in TV broadcast Watch episode 13 and all six - Lite Short consequences. Addition was ever shown on each DVD and Blu -ray as a bonus about three minutes long episodes in their entirety to a Depth of Field - are referred to Ai to Nikushimi Gekijo ( DEPTH OF FIELD ~愛 と 憎しみ 劇場). The seven episodes act essentially by the girls as they fight each other in their Chūnibyō - delusion and think of this.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the series end of September 2012 for North America under the title Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. The Anime Network streamed the series from 17 October 2012 and later from 3 each just one day after the Japanese Air Date. Madman Entertainment announced October 2012, the licensing for Australia known.

On September 14, 2013 came the movie Takanashi Rikka Kai - Demo Koi ga Shitai Gekijōban Chūnibyō! (小鸟 游 六 花·改~劇場 版 中 二 病 で も 恋 が し たい! ~ ). In Japanese theaters

A second season called Koi ga Shitai Chūnibyō demo! Ren (中 二 病 で も 恋 が し たい!恋) with 12 episodes was from January 9th to March 27th, 2014 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) erstausgestrahlt on Tokyo MX and time delay on Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi and BS11.
