Lucas Bernardi

Lucas Ademar Bernardi ( born September 27, 1977 in Rosario, Argentina) is an Argentine footballer, currently under contract with Monaco.

The midfielder played from January 1998 to December 2000 at Newell 's Old Boys in Argentina and from January to June in 2001 Olympique Marseille in France.

He participated in the Confederations Cup 2005. However, he lost his team the final against South American rivals Brazil 1:4. He also takes part in the qualifying for the FIFA 2006 World Cup with Argentina, who are already qualified for Germany, in part.

Bernardi has matured into one of the most important players of the team at AS Monaco in his time. His persistent knee injury ensures that it provides both the national team lost sight of and had already quit the 2006/07 season prematurely.
