Lucas Radebe ( born December 4, 1969 in Soweto ) is a retired South African football player.

Career

Lucas Radebe, nicknamed The Chief, played in his youth he played in South Africa in Bloemfontein. He began his career in 1991 at South Africa's flagship club Kaizer Chiefs in Johannesburg. For the 1994/95 season he joined 24 -year-old in the English Premier League to Leeds United, where he finished his career after the 2005/06 season.

His international debut for South Africa Radebe graduated 1992. 1996 he won together with South Africa the African Nations Cup on home soil in 1998 and 2002, he represented the South African national team captain at the World Cup in France and Japan / South Korea. 2002 after a two-year knee injury he was doing his comeback.
