Lucas Sang

Lucas Sang ( born February 12, 1961 † 1 January 2008 Eldoret ) was a Kenyan athlete.

Sang in 1988 at the Summer Olympics in 1988 in Seoul part. In the 400 -meter run, he retired in 45.72 seconds in the quarter- finals. With the 4x400 - meter relay team he reached the finals and finished eighth in there 3:04,69 minutes. He was then a pacemaker for the 800-meter runs. After the end of his athletic career, he was a farmer. Until his death, he served as treasurer of the National Association of Kenyan Olympiads ( NAKO ). His competition weight was 72 kg with a height of 1.88 m.

He was murdered on 1 January 2008 during violent riots after the presidential election in Kenya.
