Luciano Castelli

Luciano Castelli ( born September 28, 1951 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss painter, graphic designer, photographer and sculptor.

Castelli began his career in the environment of Jean- Christophe Ammann and Franz Gertsch in Lucerne, while he received training as a sign painter. In 1971 he had his first major solo exhibition in Bern, 1972, he took part with sculptures in Documenta 5 in Kassel. He was excited to work with the artistic Photography Through his friendship with Pierre Mollinier.

From 1979, as one of the main representatives of the Berlin Neue Wilde was known.

Castelli's works will be exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He was also represented in the Documenta IX in 1992 as an artist. In the opening years of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, an exhibition of his photographs was shown in 1996.

Castelli lives in Paris and in Switzerland.
