Lucio Topatigh

Lucio Topatigh (born 19 October 1965 Gallio ) is an Italian former hockey player. He is considered one of the best and most successful Italian ice hockey player of all time and is both Italy's most capped player with 243 appearances for the Azzurri and most successful scorer with 131 points scorer.

Career

Lucio Topatigh began his career as a hockey player with Asiago, for the first team, he was from 1984 to 1986 in the Serie A1, the highest Italian league, active. Subsequently, the winger played five years for his league rivals HC Bolzano, with whom he each Italian Champion in 1988 and 1990. From 1991 to 1993 he joined again for Asiago, before it ran aground 1993-1995 for HC Milano Devils, with whom he 1994 also won the Italian league title. The 1995/96 season began the links Sagittarius again in Asiago, but moved after only ten completed games for HC Bolzano, with whom he re- master was at the end of the season. From 1999 until his retirement in late 2008 at the age of 42 years Topatigh entered again for Asiago Hockey and won with the team in the 2000 /01 season, his seventh and last championship title. Internationally

For Italy Topatigh adopted the B World Championships 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1990 and the A World Championships in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002 in part. In addition, he was in the squad of his country at the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, 1994 Lillehammer, Nagano 1998 and 2006 in Turin.
