Ludo Coeck

Ludo Coeck ( born September 25, 1955 in Berchem, Antwerp; † 9 October 1985 in Rumst, Antwerp) was a Belgian football player who acted mainly on the left wing or in the center of midfield. His clubs included Berchem Sport, RSC Anderlecht and Inter Milan. He played 46 matches for Belgium.

Coeck was a member of the Belgian team at the Football World Cup 1982, in which he played in all five games of his country and with a kick - long shot against El Salvador scored a goal. He was a member of the team at the European Football Championship in 1984, when he appeared in the defeats against France and Denmark as substitutes.

On October 9, 1985 Coeck was killed when his BMW near the Belgian town Rumst crashed into the barriers when he was on his way to sign with Lierse SK.
