Ludwig Chronegk

Ludwig Chronegk ( born November 3, 1837 in Brandenburg an der Havel, Brandenburg, † July 9, 1891 in Meiningen, Thuringia ) was an actor, director and theater at Meiningen Court Theatre, and reformer of director's theater and Privy Councillor.

Life

Chronegk was born into a Jewish merchant family, was educated at the Gymnasium in Berlin and Potsdam and then studied in Paris during a one-year stay, the French theater conditions.
