Ludwig Kneiss

Ludwig Kneiss ( born November 11, 1830 in Bundenthal, † April 25, 1900 in Munich) was a German singer, actor, secretary and librarian. His vocals included, the tone bass, baritone, tenor.

Life

Kneiss was from 1853 to 1863 worked at various Austrian stages, went in 1864 to the Munich Court Theatre, then for a short time to Ulm and graduated from 1865 to 1867 at the Munich stock theater with Adolf Christians acting lessons. In subsequent years, Engagements followed in several German cities and in Amsterdam. In 1872 he returned to Munich, where he was in May at Gärtnerplatztheater active. He played there including the host Grattabugia in Carl Zeller 's comic opera The Fornarina on in Munich.
