Luis César Amadori

Luis César Amadori ( born May 28, 1903 in Pescara, Italy, † June 5, 1977 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine filmmaker, screenwriter and writer of Italian descent.

Life

Amadoris parents had emigrated from Italy to Argentina, while he was still a toddler, so he grew up in Argentina. After an interrupted medical studies he worked as a journalist for several newspapers, among other things as a music critic for Ultima Hora. Later, he also wrote plays and composed tangos, including Madre Selva was one which he wrote together with Francisco Canaro.

Go to film Amadori reached by Ángel Mentasti. His first film work was 1936 Puerto Nuevo, where he directed along with Mario Soffici. This was the beginning of a 30-year career as a director and screenwriter, when he worked on over 60 films.

During the shooting of his film Orquesta de señoritas he learned in 1941, the actress Zully Moreno know and went with her into a relationship. After numerous appearances in films Moreno Amadoris the tabloids reported on the relationship between the two. In April 1947, Moreno and Luis César Amadori married. After the fall of Juan Peron in 1955, Moreno and Amadori fled to Spain from exile. In the 1970s, the couple moved back to Argentina, where Amadori as impresario took over the management of the Teatro Maipo in Buenos Aires. He died there in 1977.
