Luis del Sol

Luis del Sol Cascajares ( born April 6, 1935 in Arcos de Jalon, Soria Province ) is a former Spanish footballer.

Sports career

Luis del Sol began his career in 1954 at Betis Sevilla. In 1960 he moved for two years to Real Madrid. With Real midfielder won in the same year in the final against Eintracht Frankfurt (7:3) the European Champions Cup and later the World Cup. In the seasons 1960/61 and 1961/62 still followed the winning the Spanish Championship.

In 1962, Del Sol moved to Juventus. With Juve he won the Coppa Italia in 1965 and two years later the Italian championship. 1970 hired the Spaniard once again for two years at Roma, before he left in 1973 end his career at Betis Sevilla.

With the Spanish national Del Sol won the European Football Championship 1964. With the Spaniards, he participated in the World Cups in 1962 and 1966. Overall, he played 16 international matches ( three goals).
