Luis Saritama

Luis Fernando Saritama Padilla ( born October 20, 1983 in Quito ) is an Ecuadorian footballer. He plays as a left winger, but can also take on the playmaker role.

With 16 years Saritama came to Deportivo Quito and 2001 had his first Erstligaeinsatz. Within a short time the young star became the key players in midfield and even became captain of the capital team. In 2004 he joined the meantime in the second half to Peru and came to 14 matches at Alianza Lima who brought the Peruvian state championship that year. Then he returned to Deportivo Quito. After the World Cup 2006 he moved to the UANL Tigres in Mexico. From January to June 2007 he played for Club América; to December 2007, he was subsequently active for Alianza Lima in Peru. Since January 2008 he plays in Ecuador for Deportivo Quito.

For his country Luis Saritama was in all youth teams in action and was first established on 11 June 2003 in the senior team. Since then, he was frequently placed as a substitute in the national jersey, even in qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, where he was allowed to play only in the meaningless last game. The role of the substitute 's he also played in the World Cup squad of Ecuador.
