Luiz Henrique Rosa

Luiz Henrique Rosa ( born November 25, 1938 in Tubarão, Santa Catarina; † 9 July 1985 in Florianópolis ) was a Brazilian singer and guitarist, who played in the second half of the 1960s bossa nova.

He was perceived for the first time outside Brazil, as he took in 1965, together with Oscar Brown Jr. Album Finding A New Friend. And particularly how it Laia Ladaia was recorded in jazz circles with benevolence, which the label Verve prompting to give Henrique a chance as a solo artist and in 1967 to publish his album Barra Limpa.

Apparently Verve with the response to the album was satisfied, because the following year the label brought a collaboration Henriques with Bobby Hackett and Billy Butterfield out: the album Bobby, Billy, Brasil. Also the rehearsed with Walter Wanderley Album popcorn appeared there in 1969.

The singer remained until 1971 in the U.S., but then returned back to Brazil (Florianópolis ). In 1976 he published his last LP, Mestiço. Luiz Henrique died in 1985 at the age of 46 in a traffic accident.
