Lukas Beck

Luke Beck ( born December 9, 1967 in Vienna) is an Austrian photographer.

Life

Lukas Beck studied at the University of Vienna Ethnology.

His work specializes in music and theater and were Leopold Museum in Vienna, the photo gallery North Light and the Palais Coburg to see. Beck is the author of several picture books and photographed CD covers and posters. He has photographed for many Austrian media, as well as foreign, such as Time and The New York Times.

Beck's main theme is the human being and its peculiarities. He has the musician Willi Resetarits, Hans Söllner, the actor Dennis Hopper, Christopher Lee, Johanna Wokalek, the opera singer Elina Garanca and Edita Gruberova, crime writer Wolf Haas and the politician Mohamed ElBaradei portrayed. Since 2003, Beck directs the course Photography for OE1 Summer Academy.
