Łukasz Mierzejewski

Łukasz Mierzejewski ( born August 31, 1982 in Ciechanów, Poland ) is a Polish footballer.

Club career

His professional career began in the midfield in 2000 Legia Warsaw. With Legia he was indeed 2002 Polish Champion and League Cup winners, but was rarely used and was the second half of the season 2001 /02 even relegated to the second team of Legia Warsaw. For the 2002/03 season Mierzejewski was sold to the Łódzki KS in the second league. Here he was able to convince and, after just one season to the first league - Up Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. In Świt he played a mixed season with the club rose from the end of the season. 2004 Mierzejewski was then obliged Zagłębie Lubin. He played four seasons with Zagłębie Lubin and 2007 was surprisingly Polish Champion. 2007/ 08 he moved again to the employer and signed with Widzew Łódź. Although he was able to convince here, but had relegated in a corruption scandal with the club due to the participation Widzews. After half a year in the second league, he moved in 2008 to Cracovia Krakow in the Ekstraklasa. With Cracovia, he played a supporting role and was a regular player. However, in the 2010/11 season he was more often only substitutes. Therefore, he joined in the summer of 2011 for the Greek first division club AO Kavala. However, the club had relegated in the wake of the Greek betting and manipulation scandal and played in the fourth- highest division, the Delta Ethniki. After half a year, he joined the Polish Erstligaaufsteiger Podbeskidzie Bielsko- Biala. Here, however, he could not prevail, and came to only 5 games in the Ekstraklasa. For the 2012/2013 season moved to the Croatian first division club HNK Rijeka Mierzejewski.

National

For the Polish national team Łukasz Mierzejewski debuted on January 17, 2010 during a friendly match against Denmark (1:3).
