2010–11 Ekstraklasa

The Ekstraklasa 2010/11 was the 77th season of the top Polish football league of gentlemen since its founding in 1927. The season began on 6 August 2010 and ended on May 29, 2011. Altogether sixteen clubs participated in the 2010 / 11 part. Wisla Krakow won the Polish Championship in the thirteenth season. Descent had Arka Gdynia and Polonia Bytom.

Course of the season

On 17 Round Wisła Kraków captured the top league. Previously, one after GKS Belchatow, Polonia Warsaw and Białystok Jagiellonia occupied the leading position. After the 11th matchday of the distance between Wisła Kraków and the table top was still ten points. After the 16th Round Krakow and Bialystok were tied on 17 matchday Krakow could push past Białystok. In the following match days Wisła Kraków was able to build a big cushion of points, so the championship no longer seriously was in danger. Already after 27 Round Wisła Kraków won the championship.
