Luke Ford (actor)

Luke Ford ( born March 26, 1981 in Vancouver ) is an Australian actor who first had several appearances on television series before he took a lead role in the feature film The Black Balloon.

The film The Black Balloon, in which Ford plays an autistic, won the Crystal Bear in the Generation 14plus category in 2008. Ford also took roles in several Australian television series, such as McLeod's Daughters and Water Rats. In addition, he was taken for a Logie Award in the category Best New Talent for his portrayal of Craig Woodland shortlisted. In 2007 he took over opposite Brendan Fraser, Maria Bello and John Hannah a role in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the third installment of the Mummy series, in which he plays Alexander Rupert O'Connell. 2011 followed the children's film Red Dog.
