History

The LSK was founded on April 1, 1901 by 14 men as Lüneburg Football Club ( LFC), the spelling was changed on June 20, 1903, probably because of a spelling reform in Lüneburg club to football club ( LFK ). Another change of name took place a few months later on September 4, 1903 in Lüneburg football club from 1901. 1905 belonged to the club of the founding clubs of the North German Football Association. By the 2007/2008 season alternated in the Wilschenbruch coach Ralf Sievers (former Bundesliga player at Eintracht Frankfurt and FC St. Pauli ) came in 2008 for the second time in club history after 1993, the entry into the first round of the DFB Cup, where they already took the new name FC Hansa Lüneburg.

President Manfred Harder, a former Premier League referee, had set a goal to rehabilitate the LSK. For this, the indebted club merged with the football department of the Lueneburg SV. The other departments should remain. The new club was initially named FC Hansa Lüneburg, but was July 1, 2011 officially in Luneburg sports club Hansa 2008 eV, abbreviated LSK Hansa renamed.
