Celebrity as a pseudonym

After Blissett be named the 1994 and 1999 active group of artists Luther Blissett. Blissetts name was subsequently a pseudonym used many times in anarchist and Situationist circles in Europe and North America - but without the direct participation.

According to a report by the BBC Luther Blissett is quite informed about the activities under his name, yet does not serve as a political figurehead. He said: "These people do everything possible under my name, and I get the fame or the hassles it." Luther Blissett suspects that his name was selected because he played as one of the first black player in Serie A and in this time was also exposed to sporadic abuse of right-wing fans.
