The African river Luvua (also Luowa ) is a right tributary of the Congo and the continuation of Luapulas.

The river is formed at the common border of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. He entfließt the Lake Mweru, which is fed, inter alia, from Luapula. From there it flows in a northwesterly direction to open later in the Congo.

The considered only as a tributary of the Congo Luvua is. Associated with its source river Luapula, resulting among other things from the Chambeshi, up to this point, much longer than the Lualaba, which is regarded as the actual source of the river Congo
