Lynda Carter

Lynda Jean Carter ( born July 24, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona; born Linda Jean Cordova Carter ) is an American actress, singer and former beauty queen. A wide audience it has been known since the 1970s as Wonder Woman from the eponymous TV series.

Life

Carter was born in 1951 as a subsidiary of Irish- Mexican immigrants in Phoenix in the U.S. state of Arizona as Linda Jean Cordova Carter, where she grew up also. At the age of five years, she appeared in Lew Kings talent show; However, their actual career in show business began as adolescents. After working in various school bands they came at age 17 to The Relatives, a band that three months later played in the Sahara Lounge in Las Vegas, Nevada - although Carter was still a minor and the lounge is therefore allowed to enter only through the hotel kitchen.

She attended Arizona State University and intensified following their music career. With her band The Garfin Gathering with Lynda Carter she performed with modest success in San Francisco, before returning to Arizona in 1972. There they decided to take part in a beauty contest. She was eventually chosen as the Miss Phoenix. Other pageants joined in and she won the title Miss Arizona and Miss USA. She represented the United States in 1972, ultimately the Miss World where she achieved a ranking in the top 15.

She took acting lessons and appeared in several television productions, such as in Starsky & Hutch, Cos and Nakia, the Indians Sheriff and in some B-movies like Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw. Their most successful role that liberal superheroine Wonder Woman, she received in 1975, when they prevailed over 2000 colleagues. Wonder Woman was sent in November 1975 and was extremely successful.

In the 1980s faded her acting career, though she still had TV appearances.
