The Gedrängtblütige Loosestrife ( Lysimachia congestiflora ) is a species of the genus loosestrife ( Lysimachia ).

Features

The Gedrängtblütige loosestrife is an unearthly foothills forming, perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches the plant height of 10 to 20 cm. The stem is creeping to ascending, forming at the roots nodes. The leaves are opposite. Two pairs of leaves are densely present below the inflorescence. The leaf blade measures (0.7) 1.4 to 3 ( 4.5 ) x ( 0.6 ) 1.3 to 2.2 ( 3) inches and is ovate to broadly ovate or almost circular. It has been expressed, articulated hairs, verkahlt rare and has mainly edge reddish or black glandular dots. The flowers are arranged on the stem end capitate heaped two to four. The flowers are yellow in color with red eye. The ovary is hairy.

The flowering period extends from May to July, rarely to October.

Occurrence

The Gedrängtblütige loosestrife is in China, Bhutan, northeast India, Nepal, Sikkim, Myanmar and Thailand in humid forest edges, thickets and edges of rice fields at altitude 200-2100 meters.

Use

The Gedrängtblütige loosestrife is rarely used as an ornamental plant for window boxes and hanging baskets.
