Lysistratus

Lysistratos was a Greek sculptor of Sicyon, brother of the more famous Lysippos. He was active in the second half of the 4th century BC, around the time of Alexander the Great.

Lysistratos was after a report of Pliny ( Naturalis historia, 35, 153 ) was the first sculptor who, instead free to model abformte the face of the imaged people from nature in plaster and then executed the portrait.
