Lyube

Ljube (Russian Любэ ) is the name of a Russian rock band with strong nationalistic twist. The music is characterized by a powerful, melancholy sound and a high standard of composition, arrangement, musical interpretation and poetry. She's since the early 1990s, one of the most famous and successful formations of Russia.

Development

The development of the group took the end of the 1980s on the initiative of Igor Matvienko with the formation Klass began. Miscellaneous

The band's name refers to Ljuberzy, a town in the Moscow region, in which Nikolai Rastorguyev was born. In the late 1980s the city was the center of Ljubery, an anti-Western movement that can be included with the Soviet Gopnik subculture.

The current members of the group Ljube maintain a friendly relationship with the Russian president Vladimir Putin. In part, the band also supports political activities of the United Russia party.
