Lyuben Dilov

Liuben Dilow (also Luben Dilov, Bulgarian Любен Дилов ), ( born December 25, 1927 in Tscherwen brjag, Oblast Pleven, † June 10 2008 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian writer.

Liuben Dilow studied Bulgarian language and literature at the University of Sofia and began while studying, first science fiction stories to publish. He since the early fifties has published more than 35 books, was editor of a science fiction book series (Galaxy ) and created in 1990 the Bulgarian science fiction literature prize graviton. His works have been translated into several languages. He also translated from German into Bulgarian ( like Siegfried Lenz).

He is the father of Bulgarian journalist and politician Liuben Dilow Jr. ( b. 1964 ).
