M102 railway (Croatia)

The railway line Zagreb Dugo Selo - is a two-track, electrified railway line in Croatia. It is about 21 km long and classified as a route of international importance. It is equally part of the Pan-European Corridor Vb from Rijeka via Zagreb to Budapest and the Pan-European Transport Corridor X from Salzburg via Zagreb and Belgrade to Thessaloniki.

History

Together with the subsequent Dugo Selo north of route of Gyékényes the route Zagreb Dugo Selo, was built by the Hungarian State Railways and started operating in 1870. Together with the south-west of Zagreb subsequent, 1873 finished track to Rijeka they served the traffic between Budapest and the then Hungarian city of Rijeka.

As a result of the First World War, the catchment area of ​​the track was part of the end of October 1918, proclaimed the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes ( Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1929 ). Also the route Zagreb Dugo Selo - went on in the later Yugoslav State Railways on this basis. With Croatia's independence in 1991 the route was transferred to the newly established railway company Hrvatske željeznice ( HŽ ).

As part of the east-west main route Belgrade -Zagreb - Dobova ( -Ljubljana ), the line was electrified in 1970, the electric train has been taken with the 50 Hz Wechselstromsysten 25 kV.
