Maalouf

The Maalouf (Arabic معلوف, DMG Ma ʿ LUF) are one of the oldest still existing major Arab tribes of the Christian religion. You already appeared in the oldest tribal directories, the Muslim conqueror of Syria in the 6th century and can trace their lineage back to the 4th century AD. Especially in Lebanon several Christian families trace their lineage back to the Maaloufs.
