Maarten Lafeber

Maarten Lafeber ( born December 11, 1974 in Eindhoven ) is a Dutch professional golfer on the European Tour.

Career

Prior to professional golfer in 1997, he twice won the Dutch and the more even the Swiss and the Spanish Amateur Championships. The qualification for the European Tour managed Lafeber right away, lost the game right, but at the end of season 1998. Afterwards he played on the Challenge Tour, where he won the Kenya Open in his favor in 1999 and again qualified for the grand tour. In 2003, Lafeber managed to be the first Dutchman since 1947 ( Joop Ruhl ) again the domestic Dutch Open win. This remained but to date his only major tournament victory. Nevertheless, he achieved by consistently good results in the European Tour Order of Merit in 2005 the remarkable 25th place, and improved his previous top ranking from the year 2003, in which he took the 29th place. He was also represented in the European team of the Seve Trophy in 2005 and has already played four times for his country in the World Cup.

Maarten Lafeber sold its own shares in order to finance his career, and paid his co-owner with a profit of 85 % from the end of the 2004 season. He resides in Amsterdam.
