Maceo Rigters

Maceo Rigters ( born January 22, 1984 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch football player.

Career

Rigters began his professional career at SC Heerenveen. His debut celebrated in the season 2003/ 04, but only got in two games for use. In the season 2004/ 05 he moved to FC Dordrecht. There, the striker scored 8 goals in 17 games and was subsequently withdrawn from NAC Breda under contract, where he played until 2007.

For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to Blackburn Rovers. There, however, he came only to two appearances in the Premier League and in 2008 was initially loaned to Norwich City for a month and before the subsequent 2008/ 09 on the second division FC Barnsley. Also, for the entire 2010/11 season was with Willem II Tilburg another Leihklub. In 2011 he left Blackburn finally permanently and moved to the Australian professional league A-League Gold Coast United.

2007 Rigters was appointed to the Jong Oranje, the U21 team in the Netherlands. With the team he won the U -21 Football Championship in 2007, when he was awarded 4 hits in 5 games as the top scorer of the tournament and twice elected Man of the Match in the same year.
