Maciej Zieba

Maciej Zięba ( born January 24, 1987 in Chocianów ) is a Polish footballer who also has the German nationality. He plays in midfield primarily as a right or left winger.

Career

Zięba was born in Poland but grew up in Germany. Here he began playing football at division club SV Wermelskirchen before he moved to the youth of the Wuppertal SV Borussia in the summer of 2004. After a year, however, he returned to Wermelskirchen. A year later he moved to the A- youth of Bundesliga Bayer 04 Leverkusen. After a year he made ​​the jump to the cadres of the second team. While he only came on as a substitute for use in the first year, he was from 2008 to 2011 regulars. Overall, he came to 111 missions and scored 21 goals.
