Magdalena Gwizdoń

Magdalena Gwizdoń (* August 4, 1979 in Cieszyn ) is a Polish biathlete.

The coached by Stanislaw Kepka and starting for the BLKS Żywiec Magdalena Gwizdon debuted in 1995 at the World Cup season opener in Östersund. In 1999, she ran in pursuit during the World Cup in Oberhof first time in the top 10 in their previous best season 2004/ 05 she was once on a second ( Sprint) and third (single ) space. She celebrated her biggest success on 1 December 2006 at the first sprint of the season in Ostersund, where she won her first World Cup. She is the best Polish biathlete her generation.

Since 1999 Gwizdon participated in several World Championships, but ( Holmenkollen Single, 2000) could in single race a long time better than a 13th place ranking. It was only during the Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Antholz she came in seventh in the sprint for the first time in the top ten. At the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006, she started in all five races. Their best finish was a sixth place in the relay. In single race she finished 20th place. Magdalena Gwizdoń also took part in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Her best result was 31 th in the Pursuit. With the season they finished ranked 12th
