Mahmoud Alavi

Mahmoud Alawi (Persian محمود علوی; transcription ( DMG): Mahmud ʿ Alavī, born 1954 in Lamard, Fars Province) is an Iranian cleric and politician.

He was appointed in August 2013 to the Minister for Intelligence and State Security of the Government Rohani. He is a member of the Expediency Council.
