Main Roads Western Australia

Main Roads Western Australia ( also briefly Main Roads, in front of Main Roads Department) is the Roads and Traffic Authority in Western Australia, Australia. She is responsible for the maintenance, development and operation of the nationwide road network.

Main Roads is responsible for around 13% of the national road network, with a total length of 18,500 km, responsible. The remaining 131,000 km are operated by the local government areas or national road authorities and held maintenance.

In 2011, the Authority had a total budget of 1,200 million AU $ and 1070 employees.
