Mainit, Surigao del Norte

Mainit (Filipino: Bayan ng Mainit ) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Surigao del Norte, Administrative Region XIII, Caraga. It has 25,596 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 21 barangays. It is classified as the fourth income class municipality in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Mainit on the shores of Lake Mainit, about 46 km south of Surigao City and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway. Your neighboring municipalities are Placer, Tubod in the east, in the southeast Alegria, Malimono in the West.
