Makgeolli

Makgeolli, Makuly ( takju ) is an alcoholic beverage from Korea. The main ingredient is rice. The name of Makgeolli is because the fermented, cloudy rice soup is natural. So the drink looks milky and has an average alcohol content of 6-7 vol - %. This species probably is the oldest form alcoholic beverage in Korea.

Since August 5, 2010, there are in South Korea, a certification system for makgeolli.
