Maki Goto

Maki Gotō (Japanese后 藤 真 希, Gotō Maki, born September 23, 1985 in Edogawa, Tokyo Prefecture ) is a J- pop singer, songwriter and former actress. She debuted in 1999 and was a part of Morning Musume. The first single with the group, Love Machine, made ​​it to the top of the Oricon charts and sold over a million copies in Japan alone. She was the main singer of the group until 2002 and then only one member of the group. In 2001, she released her first solo single, called Ai no Bakayarō. The single sold over 400,000 times in Japan and is still the most successful single by a solo artist in Morning Musume. She ended up with the single topped the Oricon charts.

In 2007, she left the Hello! Project and signed in 2008 a contract with Rhythm Zone, a label of Avex Trax. Her comeback took place at the A- Nation 2008. The following year, 2009, she published under the name " Sweet Black feat. Maki Goto " an EP. In 2010, she changed her stage name back to Maki Goto order and launched her official comeback. She sold a total as a solo singer over 1.5 million CDs in Japan.

Life

Maki has a younger brother and two older sisters.

In 1996 Makis father died as a result of a fall while mountain climbing.

Her younger brother and former member of the Japanese musical group EE Jump, Yūki Gotō (后 藤 佑 树), was arrested on 20 October 2007. He and two other accomplices, aged 18 and 19 are broken into a construction site in Edogawa, Tokyo on 15 July 2007, and have 80 rolls of electric cables worth 1 million yen stolen (about 9300 euros ).

23 January 2010 fell Makis mother, Tokiko Gotō, by 23 clock from the third floor of her apartment in Edogawa, Tokyo. She was taken to hospital where she died, however, with 55 years of her injuries in the early morning hours of January 24. The police said that she was drunk and could not be ruled a suicide.

Mari Yaguchi, a former member of Morning Musume band calls it " The Kumi Koda of Hello! Project ". In addition, Maki himself is very good with Kumi Koda and the smaller sister Misono friends.
