Maksim Sidorov

Maxim Viktorovich Sidorov (Russian Максим Викторович Сидоров, English transcription Maksim Viktorovich Sidorov, . Born 13 May 1986) is a Russian shot-putter.

Sidorov won the bronze medal at the European Athletics Junior Championships 2005 in Kaunas. He participated in the European Indoor Athletics Championships 2009 in Turin, the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 and at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships 2010 in Doha in part, without having to qualify for a final. He succeeded only at the Indoor Athletics Championships in 2011, where he won the bronze medal behind the German Ralf Bartels and David Storl. At the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, he retired again after qualification. In 2012 he finished in fifth place at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul. At the Olympic Games in London, he was eleventh.

Sidorov has so far been four times Russian champion in the shot put: 2009 and 2011 outdoor and 2010 and 2012 in the hall.
