Malayer (Persian ملاير; formerly Daulatabad ) is a city in the Iranian province of Hamadan.

Malayer is the second largest city in the province of Hamadan in western Iran and is known for carpet weaving and some public parks. Malayer 2012 has grossed 159 391 inhabitants. The city is located between Hamedan and Khorramabad and 380 km southwest of Tehran. The current mayor is Rahman Razi.

History

In the 1960s, the city was known for decorated horses and carriages. Every day were ready for the 25 horse-drawn carriage in the town center as a tourist attraction. The most popular destination of these trips was the Stadtpark Park -e Malyer. Park -e Malayer is a trademark of Hamadan Province. The park is located a few kilometers outside the city and contains several small lakes and lush vegetation.

The Hamadan province lies in a semi-arid region. Parks as the park e Malayer with its natural beauty and lush vegetation were quiet and welcoming places in the region. During the hot summer, many people spend time in Malayer. The people speak the Malayer Malayer accent, one of the local Persian accents. Teheranisches Persian, Turkish and Kurdish immigriertes are also spoken. Park -e Malayer was renamed ten years ago in Park e Seifieh and thus refers to the name of the Kadscharenprinzen Seyfodoleh, who founded the park about 75 years ago. He is buried in a family vault in the vicinity of the park. He was the leader of azodi, the most well-known family in Malayer.

Malayer with its suburbs has a population of more than 190,000. It is connected to Hamadan on a highway. Cities in Shah Restan ( county ) Malayer are Azandaryan, Jokar, seeds, Zangeneh, Hussain abade Nazem, Zangeneh and Avarzaman. With all the villages and hamlets of the district had the 285,000 inhabitants in 2008.
