Malcolm Chisholm

Malcolm Chisholm (born 7 March 1949 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party. In the British general election, 1992 Chisholm won the direct mandate of the constituency Edinburgh Leith and pulled the first time in a parliament. The meantime tailored new and renamed in Edinburgh North and Leith constituency, he defended at the 1997 General Election In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 drew Chisholm as candidate for the Scottish Labour Party in the constituency of Edinburgh North and Leith in the Scottish parliament. In the following elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011 Chisholm defended his mandate successfully.

Life

Chisholm attended George Watson 's College and the University of Edinburgh. He then worked as an English teacher.

Between 2000 and 2001, Chisholm has held the post of Secretary of State for Health and Welfare, and between 2001 and 2004 the post of Minister of the same resorts. In 2004-2006, Chisholm served as Minister for Communities, but resigned in the winter of 2006.

Malcolm Chisholm is married and the father of two sons and a daughter.
