Małkinia Górna

Małkinia Gorna is a Polish village of about 6,000 inhabitants, and the seat of the municipality of the same country. It has an area of ​​6.97 km ², is the powiat Ostrowski on.

History

During the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht Małkinia Gorna belonged to the District of Warsaw. The station of the municipality at the time was an intermediate station on the railway line Warsaw - Białystok for those trains which transported the inhabitants of the Warsaw ghetto to the extermination camp Treblinka II.

As part of the Hadamar process claimed the locksmith Josef Hirtreiter, he worked in a "camp Małkinia ", in which Jews had been murdered. During the interrogations, however, it turned out that it was in the process described by Hirtreiter camp at Treblinka.
