Mama Killa

Mama Killa ( Quechua, German Mother Moon ) was in the mythology of the Incas as a lunar deity, a protective goddess of married women, and is a part of the Inca calendar, as well as various festivals of the Incas. Her symbol is a silver disc on which a human face is visible.

She was said to be the wife of Inti, the sun god. Her parents were the creator god Wiraqucha and his wife Mama Qucha. Tayta Inti and Mama Killa were the parents of the first Inca ruler Manco Capac and his wife Mama Ocllo. After Ichma (entrance of the Chimú in the Inca Empire ), the Chimú recognized the Mama Killa as the mother of her God Pachakamaq.
