Mamlish Records

Mamlish Records was an American record label.

The label was founded in the early 1970s by Don Kent, specializing in reissues of old recordings Blue. The original works were pre-and post-war recordings, which had been sold as shellac records (78 rpm records ).

The re-released recordings included primarily plate sampler, but also combinations of individual artists ( The Mississippi Sheiks, Lonnie Johnson, Barbecue Bob, Big Joe Williams, Ed Bell). The re-releases have focused on the ' white ' customer market, which was present since the folk and blues revival of the 1960s.

Along with Nick Perls' Yazoo Records was Mamlish Records, the label that was probably the most active process of re-release such recordings.
