Action

The student Tasuke Shichiri (七 梨 太 助) lives alone. His life changed suddenly when his father sends him an artifact from China, from the ( Shao守护 月 天 小 璘, Shugogetten Shaorin ), a moon fairy, appears. The naive Shao has yet to learn to get along in the modern age and caused so much chaos. Throughout history, dive more nature spirits, which also confuse Tasukes life: the Sonnenfee Ruan (庆幸 日 天 汝 昴, Keikōnitten Ruan ) and the Erdenfee Kiryu (万难 地 天 纪 柳, Bannanchiten Kiryu ).

Publications

The manga was published in Japan by Square Enix starting in February 1997 Magazine Shonen Gangan. The series ran until April 2000 and was also summarized in eleven volumes. After Minene Sakurano has changed the publishing house, the manga was re-released in the Mag Garden -Verlag. There, however, the manga was published in 10 volumes, and two additional chapters have been added. As of December 2002, the continuation of the manga was published by Mag Garden entitled Mamotte Shugogetten! Retrouvailles. The series ran in the magazine Comic Blade to March 2005 and was then collected into six anthologies.

The manga was published in English in the magazine Riin comics. The publisher Akiko brought out the work in French.

In Germany the manga by Tokyopop from August 2005 to July 2006 was published. The translation is by Costa Caspary. Of continuation with the German title reunion with Shao every six volumes were published.

Anime

1998 produced the studio Toei Animation, a 22 - episode anime television series to manga. Here Yukio Kaizawa directed. The character design is Ken Ueno, the artistic director Junichi Higashi, Kazuhiko Suzuki, Ken Tokushige, Kenji Matsumoto, Koji Sakaki and Mada Izumi. The series was broadcast on 17 October 1998 to April 3, 1999 at the Japanese broadcaster TV Asahi.

2000 followed the series an OVA, with eight 30 - minute episodes from the same team.

The music of the series was composed by Jo Rinoie. The header title Saa produced by Surface, the guy I Just Feel so Love Again ~ soba ni iru dake de ~ and Makenaide submitted by Sweet Velvet and Mariko Koda.

For the OVA and the songs Wish Magic by Mariko Koda were used for the opening credits. For the guy you used I'll Follow You by jyushi -ca and Hoshigami Rishu deshi by Ayako Kawasumi.
