Manali, Tamil Nadu

Manali (Tamil: மணலி Manali [ maɳəli ] ) is a district of Chennai (Madras ), the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Manali is one of 15 zones ( zones ) of Chennai and comprises seven districts ( wards ).

Manali is about twelve miles from the city center in the north of Chennai. Manali is an important industrial center and has, among other things, a petroleum refinery, petrochemical and fertilizer production. While Manali is now highly urbanized by the growth of Chennai, the northern parts of the zone Manali are still influenced significantly rural.
