Mandombe script

The Mandombe font (French Mandombé ) is a Central African Abugida for the languages ​​Kikongo, Lingala, Tshiluba, Kituba and Swahili.

It was introduced in 1978 Wabeladio Pyai in Mbanza - Ngungu in the Bas-Congo province of the Congo.

The Mandombe Academy at CENA currently working to transcribe other Central and South African Bantu languages ​​in the font. The writing is taught in the schools of Kimbanguist Church in Angola, the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
